Itinerary
- Arrival at Srinagar Airport you will be met by our Representative. Transfer to Hotel/Houseboat which is already booked for you. Later on visit the famous Mughal gardens, Chashmashahi or The Royal Spring, Nishat Bagh or Garden of Pleasure, Shalimar Bagh or Garden of Love.Evening enjoy Shikara Ride on Famous Dal Lake. No experience defines romanticism more than taking a Shikara ride on the serene waters of the Dal Lake. Passing lotuses floating on the Dal Lake will surely add to the moment.Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the Houseboat/Hotel in Srinagar.
- After a delicious breakfast proceed for Kargil which is 204 kilometers from Srinagar. After 2 hrs journey you will reach Sonamarg (The Meadow of Gold) famous for its Landscape and snowcapped high peaks. Enjoy tea/Lunch and take some photos. Get ready for more adventurous drive through Zojila pass which is 3900 mts above the sea level and is the highest pass between Srinagar and Kargil road. This road remains open from April till Nov and it’s the only road which connects Kargil, Zanaskar & Ladakh with Kashmir valley. Continue driving towards Kargil, you will pass through several villages and within next 3 – 4 hrs you will be in Drass Village which is said to be the 2nd coldest place on earth after Siberia in Russia. Also make a stop at Vijay War Memorial to pay homage to the brave hearts of Indian Army. By the evening, you will reach Kargil. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Kargil.
- After a delicious breakfast drive to Leh to ascend three major passes. You first stop is at Mulbekh Buddhist village, visit the ancient rock cut statue of Maitreya Buddha. Proceed further towards Lamayuru through Namiki la Pass (3700 mts) and Fotu la Pass 13749 ft on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru oldest monastery. Later stop for photo at lunar like landscapes near Lamayuru Monastery. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view point of Zanskar river following into Indus also known as Sangam. Final stop make at Magnetic hill is a gravity hill having magnetic properties to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference. Finally arrive at Leh 3500 Mtrs. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
- After delicious breakfast at your camp leave for day excursion to enjoy a comfortable 3 Idiots School: The school was featured in a 2007 episode as the Aamir Khan movie 3 Idiots. The school, where some parts of the 3-Idiots film was shot, is supported by international donors as well as Indian celebrities like actor Ameer Khan.Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh and erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction.Thiksey: Spectacularly sighted, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive gompa. There are several temples in this gompa, containing images stupas and wall painting of Buddha’s which are exquisite.Stok Palace Museum: Where the present day royal family resides. Stok Palace and museum was built in the year 1825, by King Tespal Tondup Namgyal. At present the place has a collection of royal dresses and crown etc. which is open for travelers. Drive back to Leh.Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
- After delicious breakfast at the hotel drive to Nubra Valley (125 kms) via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world.Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit & Hunder Village. Check in at your camp/Hotel. Drive to Hunder Sand Dunes to enjoy Camel Safari (OPTIONAL) on the shabby double -humped Bactrian camels.Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Camp in Nubra.
- After delicious breakfast at your camp drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok. This direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso has now become more popular in past few years. Drive from Nubra to Pangong via Agham – Shyok drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water, 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China. Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the Camp in Pangong.
- After delicious breakfast at your camp drive to Tsomoriri Lake which is around 235 Kms via Chushul Route. From Spangmik, drive on right next to the lake. It is an awesome and a very scenic drive. Cross the village of Man and continue towards Merak. Continue towards Khaltse and from there to Chushul. At Chushul, you can take a quick break and visit the Chushul War Memorial, dedicated to the heroes who lost their lives in battle with China. From Chushul, head towards the high altitude pass of Tsaga La, also known as Chagga La. Today will cross 3 high altitude passes.

- After delicious breakfast drive to route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wild life species. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Camp in Tsokar.
- After delicious breakfast take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglangla (alt: 17,585ft) en- route.
