    Itinerary

    DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT SRINAGAR
    • Arrival at Srinagar Airport you will be transferred to Hotel. Afternoon visit the famous Mughal Gardens. Nishat Garden: Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake, close to Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is the second largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley. The largest in size is the Shalimar Bagh, which is also located on the bank of the Dal Lake. ‘Nishat Bagh’ is Urdu, which means “Garden of Joy,” “Garden of Gladness” and “Garden of Delight. Located on the bank of the Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop, Nishat Bagh is a garden with views of the lake beneath the Pir Panjal mountain range. The Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jehan.
    • Shalimar Garden: Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jehan or (Mehr-un-Nissa). Shalimar Bagh is a Mughal garden in Srinagar, linked through a channel to the northeast of Dal Lake, on its right bank located on the outskirts of Srinagar. Its other names are Shalimar Garden, Shalimar Bagh, Farah Baksh and Faiz Baksh, and the other famous shore line garden in the vicinity is Nishat Bagh. The Bagh is considered the high point of Mughal horticulture. It is now a public park. This time it’s also called as crown of Srinagar. Evening enjoy relaxing Shikara ride on Dal Lake for 01 Hrs.
    • Shikara Ride: The ‘Shikara’ or wooden boat rides are especially well-known and popular among tourists. One can enjoy being photographed in the traditional Kashmiri attire with authentic accessories during the Ride.

    DAY 2:PAHALGAM TOUR
    • After breakfast you will leave for Pahalgam. On the way visit the famous Awantipora Temple: Built by King Avantivarman between 855-883 AD, these fascinating temples still hold the interest of both religious devotees and history buffs till The majestic pillars and carved sculptures of various deities hold testimony to the architectural brilliance of that era. The two main structures, the Avantiswhar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Avantiswami temple to Lord Vishnu, are also the perfect spots for great photography.
    • Saffron Fields: Saffron is a rare spice which grows only in few places in the world. Derived to the architectural brilliance of that era.     • Saffron Fields: Saffron is a rare spice which grows only in few places in the world. Derived from the flower of Crocus Sativus or Saffron Crocus, the spice has exceptional medicinal properties and is commonly used in cooking and traditional medicines. In Kashmir, saffron grows in a small town known as Pampur which is about 13 kilometers away from Srinagar. During autumn months, when the flowers bloom, you will be able to see rows and rows of purple flowers in Pampur. A walk amidst these flowers is certainly a beautiful experience. In Pahalgam, visit Betaab Valley | Aru Valley | Chandanwari as well as take a horse riding trip to Baisaran meadows (By Local Cab | Pony).
    • Betaab Valley: Sprawling fertile pastures, snow-capped mountains and meandering streams are characteristic of this valley and add to the aesthetic appeal of this place. Apart from being well- known for this stunning landscape, the valley is also a renowned as a famous trekking base and camping site for travelers who want to explore the nearby regions.
    • Aru Valley: Located 12 km from Pahalgam, despite being a small village Aru Valley is captivating with its scenic meadows and activities like horse riding, hiking and trekking.     DAY 3: GULMARG - ST. MARY CHARCH - GOLF COURSE
    • After breakfast you will leave for full day excursion to Gulmarg. Gulmarg (8700 ft i.e. 2652 mts), known as ‘Meadow of flowers. Discovered by the Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th century who was inspired with its grassy slopes covered with wild flowers. It is one of the India’s premier Hill resorts. Gulmarg today is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty – It also turns into India’s premier Ski resort in winter.
    • Gulmarg Gondola: Gulmarg Gondola is the second longest and second highest cable car in the world. The first stage transfers from the Gulmarg resort at (8,530 ft) to Kongdoori Station in the bowl-shaped Kongdori valley. The second stage of the ropeway, takes skiers to a height of (12,293 ft) on Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (13,780 ft). In Gulmarg, visit St. Mary Church | Maharani Temple as well as you can enjoy the golf at the famed 18 hole golf course (By Pony | Walk).
    • Mary Church: Standing tall, even after a 100 odd years, is this Victorian architectural wonder of the Saint Mary’s Church located near the Golf Course in Gulmarg. This might well be your messiah to experiencing the ancient architectural wonders that our country is the most renowned for. More like a tiny countryside chapel in appearance, this church is made of grey stone walls. The church looks the most scintillating during the winter season especially when it is surrounded by snow.
    • Maharani Temple: Situated in the middle of Gulmarg, the Maharani temple is an example of religions intertwined with a Muslim priest performing rituals in the Maharani Temple was built by Mohini Bai Sisodhi, wife of Maharaja Hari Singh in 1915. This temple belongs to the Dogra Kings of Jammu & Kashmir.
    • Golf Course: Famed as the highest 18 hole golf course in the world, this golf course is also the longest in India. Situated at an altitude of 8700 feet above sea level, this place was used to play golf by Britishers since 1911 and the golf course was inaugurated formally in 2011. The golf course is very beautiful and consists of a meadow with various varieties of beautiful and rare species of flowers. The flowers are in full bloom during the months of June to September.

    Day 4: PROCEED TOWARDS KARGIL
    • After breakfast you will proceed towards Kargil which is about 204 kilometers via Sonamarg. Sonamarg: Sonamarg (2740 mts) also known as ‘The Meadow of Gold’ or “The Gateway of Ladakh” Sonamarg is 84 Kms from Srinagar and is surrounded by colorful mountains and thick Pine forests. Slopes and meadows are sparkled with the loveliest of alpine flowers, while the rich forests of fir, sycamore and birch at their lush green beauty to the scene. Along with the Pahalgam, Sonamarg is an excellent takeoff point for treks into the mountains and in itself is an ideal camping ground where glaciers pour down from the Himalayas. After some Tea | Coffee break at Sonamarg get ready for more adventurous drive through Zojila pass which is 3900 mts above the sea level and is the highest pass between Srinagar and Kargil road. This road remains open from April till Nov and it’s the only road which connects Kargil, Zanaskar & Ladakh with Kashmir valley. Continue driving towards Kargil, you will pass through several villages and within next 3 – 4 hrs you will be in Drass Village which is said to be the 2nd coldest place on earth after Siberia in Russia. Also make a stop at Vijay War Memorial to pay homage to the brave hearts of Indian Army. From there you can have a magnificent view of Famous Kargil war Peaks (Tiger, Tololing). By the evening, you will reach Kargil town; upon reaching there, check in at hotel.

    DAY 5: LEH TOUR
    • After a delicious breakfast you will proceed your drive towards Leh to ascend three major passes. You first stop is at Mulbekh Buddhist village, visit the ancient rock cut statue of Maitreya Buddha. Proceed further towards Lamayuru through Namiki la Pass (3700 mts) and Fotu la Pass 13749 ft on Srinagar Leh route. Continue your drive towards Leh, enroute visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining “Moon land” hills. On the way stop at Magnetic Point, Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers).
    • Magnetic Point: is a gravity hill located on Srinagar – LehNationalThehillisallegedtohavemagneticpropertiesstrongenoughtopullcars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escapemagnetic interference; in reality, the effect is an optical illusion created by the gravityhill.
    • Sangam: is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy. The colours of the two rivers can be distinctly seen at the confluence. It is an amazing place to sit, relax, and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.

    DAY 6: LEH LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
    • After breakfast you will leave for Leh local Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame, located near the Leh Airfield, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars.

    • Leh Palace: This palace was constructed during the 17th century, under the patronage of King Singe Namgyal. It served as the regal residence of the Namgyal dynasty until the mid- 19th century, after which the royal family permanently shifted to Stok.

    DAY 7: NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNGLA
    • After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit& Hunder Village. Check in at your camp/Hotel. Visit Hunder Village and sightseeing of Sand Dunes.

    • Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides. Enjoy Camel Safari (OPTIONAL) on the shabby double-humped Bactrian camels, which in olden days were the main mode of transport on the Ladakh-Yarkhand (Turkmanistan) trade. The Safari goes along the soft white sandy deserts with rolling sand dunes.

    DAY 8: PANGONG LAKE VIA SHYOK
    • After breakfast at your camp drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok. This direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso has now become more popular in the recent past years Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso instead of coming back to Leh. Drive from Nubra to Pangong via Agham – Shyok and Continue drive to Pangong drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It’s reported there are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake. On the other hand you will see numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface.

    DAY 9: BACK TO LEH THROUGH CHANGLA PSS
    • During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive back to Leh through Changla Pass.

    • Shey Palace, the erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction of Shey. The palace was built by King Deldan Namgyal in 1655 Namgyal also made Shey his summer capital. It offers views of a vast expanse of the surrounding valleys.
    • Thiksey: Spectacularly sighted, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive gompa. There are several temples in this gompa, containing images stupas and wall painting of Buddha’s which are exquisite.

    DAY 10: DEPARTURE FROM LEH
