DO's:

  • Carry all your documents safely. All valuables, cash, traveller cheques, air ticket, passport etc should be carried in your handbag at all times.

 

  • Travel light & dress comfortably.

 

  • If you are on a regular course of medication, it is advisable to carry an adequate supply of your medicines in your hand luggage.

 

  • If at any time during the tour, you need the services of a Doctor, please contact the Tour manager who will organize one for you.

 

  • The instructions & guidelines of the Tour Manager are to be followed strictly.

 

  • Tipping is a way of life abroad. Coach drivers, porters, guides expect a tip as a sign of gratitude.

 

  • All passengers are requested to be punctual at all times. The timings advised by the Tour Manager should be adhered to under all circumstances. Due to strict driving rules, time management is of utmost importance to ensure that all services are covered as per schedule.

DONT's:

  • Do not keep your money, credit cards, travellers cheques in one wallet or purse – disperse them so one theft won’t leave you totally penniless.
  • Do not get into any unnecessary quarrel or contradictions with the locals.
  • Do not leave your valuables open in your hotel room.
  • Do not consume alcohol during the sightseeing tours.
  • Do not – try to break queues, bargain in fixed price shops, littering, jay walking and misusing hotel amenities. When in a foreign country, we represent India and these are some of the actions that may be considered inappropriate.

CHECKLIST FOR ITEMS TO CARRY:

  • Spare Batteries for the camera & Camera Rolls
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Umbrella / Raincoat / Sunglasses
  • Cool, cotton clothing for the summer
  • Emergency kit containing first aid material, torch, scissors, alarm clock etc

BAGGAGE:

  • Please tag your bags for easy identification.
  • Extra care to be taken of your baggage in crowded places like stations, restaurants and sightseeing spots.
  • Please carry very light luggage with you to avoid excess baggage charges.
  • Take care of your own baggage while check-in and check-out at the airport and hotel.

Other Important points:

  • Please ensure that you carry at least 2 photocopies of all the documents i.e. Passport including all the relevant Visa pages, Air Ticket, Traveller cheques, Insurance policy if any and Credit Cards. In case of loss / theft / damage it will be easier to take care of the matter. A copy of the entire set should also be left behind with relatives / friends in India.
  • Carry enough money for per day expenses
  • We recommend that you change the money at banks or foreign exchange bureaus as they give a better rate than hotels. A passport is necessary for en-cashing traveller’s cheques. In most countries, one has to pay a commission charge for money exchange.
  • To call India, you have to first dial the International Access Code which is 00, followed by the Country Code which is 91, followed by the area/city code which incase of Delhi is 11, followed by the telephone number.
  • The check-in time at Hotels is usually 1400 hours and check-out time is 1200 hours
  • Take care of the hotel property to avoid penalty which is very harsh. When using the Hotel services and room amenities please keep in mind that the beverages that you use from the mini bar; telephone calls and laundry are all extras to be paid by you.
  • Please do not litter on the roads as there is a penalty for same
  • The following offences are penalized by Law: Eating and drinking in coaches; Smoking in public places; Traffic violations; Indecent behavior in public; Shoplifting; Spitting.

Note:

Panoramic City Tour

This tour gives you a view of the sights and monuments from your coach as you drive past. You will also have a few photo stops.

Orientation City Tour

Here, you get off the coach and see the sights at close quarters, without going in.

Visit

A visit to a place means that you will enter the site or monument and spend some time in the place.

Tour Manager

We request you to kindly co-operate with your Tour Manager and abide by his / her instructions, for a successful and a memorable tour.

Professional Guides

There’s no substitute for a little local flavour, so we employ local guides who give the necessary perspective to specific cities and places of historic interest. They complement your Tour Manager.

Coaches

Since all the sightseeing and few intercity transfers will be by road, we have carefully chosen an air-conditioned coach for your comfort. We request you to assist us in keeping the coach neat and clean, so that all of you can be comfortable during your holiday. Please do not eat in the coach, as there is a possibility of some leftovers spilling and soiling the coach.

We regret that, in the interest of fellow customers, smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages is not permitted on the coach.

Hotels

  • Early check in and late check out will not be permitted by the hotel.
  • Most hotel rooms are air-conditioned and may have facilities like a mini-bar, pay television channels, telephones, etc. Please note that these facilities are not complimentary and have to be paid for, based on actual usage.
  • Some hotels offer the facility of complimentary safe deposit lockers, which can be availed of.
  • Please ensure that there is no damage to your hotel room during your stay as the same would becharged to you directly by the hotel.
  • While checking into the hotel, wait in the lobby or coach as advised by the Tour Manager. Crowdingthe reception would only delay the check-in process.

Rooms

We will try our best to provide you with adjacent rooms as have been requested for at the time of booking. The same will be subject to availability at the time of check-in. There is no guarantee foradjacent rooms and interconnecting rooms. However, wherever possible the tour manager and the hotel will endeavor to provide adjacent rooms.

We recommend a maximum of three persons in one room. Triple rooms are usually no larger than twin rooms, and the third bed is often a rollaway bed or cot. It is more comfortable to get a separate bed for an accompanying minor.

 

Optional

Every My Asia tour comes with a few optional exclusives, just for you. The price of the optional tours includes the cost of transportation to and from the sightseeing place; the services of a local representative; administrative and communication charges for booking; and our professional charges in addition to entrance fees.

Reservations and payments for optional tours can be made in India prior to departure. You can also pay on arrival on Day One of your tour, in US Dollars only, to the My Asia Tour Manager.

No credit card or Travellers Cheque payments will be accepted.

Your Personal Tour Expenses:

You need to carry money / an international credit card / Travellers Cheques for your shopping andpersonal expenses like tips, mineral water, tea / coffee, soft drinks, telephone calls, laundry, minibar, pay tv channels, public toilets, etc.

Punctuality

Your itinerary and sightseeing are carefully scheduled, keeping in mind the driving time, visit hoursetc. Hence, punctuality is essential and could impact the entire group, leading to the group havingto miss out on certain parts of the itinerary if not adhered to.

Please do understand that punctualityis solely in your interest to ensure that you have the full benefit of all services included in thepackage.

It is possible that if the group is delayed for some reason, the free time given at certain sightseeingplaces could be curtailed.

When free time is given during the tour, please return to the specified place at the allotted timeand keep in mind your fellow traveller!

Tipping

Tipping in the USA is a way of life and is expected of anyone providing you a service, for example:Coach Driver, Porters, etc. It is customary to tip a nominal amount of USD 04 per person per dayfor the duration of the tour. Please do note that the coach driver plays a very important role inmaking your tour a memorable one.

Airline Information:

All passengers are requested to be at the airport at the check-in counter at least 3 and 1/2 hoursprior to the departure of your flight.

Passengers Meeting Point:

Passengers arriving from India will be met by the My Asia DMC’s Tour Manager / Local representativeat the Arrival Hall outside Customs.

Passengers joining the tour directly, (independent of the group), should report at the Arrival Halloutside Customs as per the group’s scheduled flight, or meet in the lobby of the hotel booked forthe group. However please note, that the Tour Manager / Local representative may not beavailable at the time you check-in as he/she may be at the airport to receive the rest of the group.

Class of Travel:

Passengers can choose to upgrade themselves to Business Class / First Class by paying thedifference in airfare at the time of booking a tour.

Passengers who are deviating from the group on the return journey – those who have bookedonward tickets or intend to stay back will have to make their own way to the airport or to theonward hotel.

Ticketing

Once on tour, as per airline regulations, no change in date, sector or extension of air tickets ispermissible. Any changes must be processed at the time of booking the tour in India.

Things to Carry:

Clothing

A Formal Jacket / Band-gala, Jeans, T-shirts, Cotton shirts, Trousers, Shorts / Bermuda’s, Punjabidress, swimsuit and formal wear for special dinners.

Casual clothing is widely acceptable.

 

Essential / Personal Items

Personal toiletries, a pair of sun glasses, hat, sunscreen lotion / sunblock, alarm clock, comfortablewalking shoes, pocket torch, umbrella, universal electric plug pin, video or normal camera, camerarolls or video cassettes, camera batteries and chargers, and an international roaming cellularphone, if necessary.

 

Medicines if required, with prescriptions, with a drug generic name listed, as the brand namewould differ from country to country. Please also carry a multi-plug adaptor, as sockets vary indifferent countries.
